Leicester manager Nigel Pearson is not too worried about the speculation regarding his future at the club.
Pearson's position has reportedly come under threat in recent weeks following a loss of form which has seen the Foxes go from Championship title contenders to facing an end-of-season battle to claim a play-off spot.
Saturday evening's 2-1 defeat to east midlands rivals Derby was a fifth loss in the last nine matches for Leicester, who remain in the top six only on goal difference.
Following the game at Pride Park, Pearson told reporters: "I don't know if my position is in jeopardy, but I am a scrapper.
"I would hope I will be in a job if Leicester don't reach the play-offs, but I don't think this is a question I can really answer.
"I think when you go through periods like this it is understandable and natural for people to be concerned and disappointed about the situation. We understand that.
"There has been speculation at various points of the season and I am fully aware of that sort of speculation. It is, unfortunately, part and parcel of management these days that you have to be prepared to deal with that.
"Because of the expectation at a club like ours, it is probably going to come around more often than not.
"But my job is to lead and bring us through a difficult spell. I will be working as hard as I can to make sure we still have a good chance to achieve our season's objectives.
"My focus will remain on trying to achieve the next win and hopefully that will come in the next game."
