Pearson staying calm

LeicesterLeicester boss Nigel Pearson says he is not getting carried away by the club's excellent start to the campaign.

Pearson has warned there is an awful long way to go in the season but he was happy with the start the side have made which sees them sit at the top of League One following three wins and a draw in their opening four games.

Speaking after picking up the Manager of the Month award for August, Pearson told the Mercury: "The bottom line is that we are just a month into the season. We've played four games and made a decent start.

"What's important about the award is that it recognises the hard work that people are doing here. It would be silly to get carried away.

"The expectations will continue. There will be pressure because we are one of the favourites to go up.

"We will need to deal with it, but it's the type of pressure you want because it shows you are being successful."
