Nigel Clough has revealed that he would like to keep Leicester striker DJ Campbell on loan at Derby until the end of the season.
The Rams boss has already extended the 28-year-old hitman's loan stint at Pride Park once. However Clough is now looking to keep Campbell until the summer after his brace in Saturday's 3-0 win at Peterborough made it three goals in seven Championship appearances since arriving in late November.
Campbell's latest loan is due to expire at the end of January, but Clough revealed he will wait on what happens with some of his other players before discussing anything with his Foxes counterpart Nigel Pearson.
"We've got a couple of weeks until he's up. We'd like to keep him certainly until the end of the season, which is as far as we're thinking at the moment," said Clough.
"We'll be talking about that and it will depend on in comings and outgoings as well and if he wants to stay.
"We've got a few strikers available and had Rob Hulse sitting on the bench on Saturday, so it will probably depends on what happens with a couple of others."
