Agger to ponder future

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has admitted that he may have to consider a summer move if he is not guaranteed regular football.

Agger made just 16 Premier League starts last season due to a string of injuries holding him back as the Merseyside outfit finished the campaign in second place behind Manchester City.

The Denmark international has made it clear that he wants more opportunities to shine next term and boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that he remains a key part of his plans.

The former Brondby star insists he is ready to prove his worth to the boss but also admitted that he was feeling unhappy with the Anfield side.

Agger said: "It is no secret that I had problems last season and I am considering things.

"How things turned out last season is not acceptable for me.

"I am here now and it is up to me to show the coach that I should play.

"Many things can happen in football and I do not want to exclude anything."
