Brendan Rodgers has hinted both Fabio Borini and Suso have bright futures at Liverpool after impressive campaigns out on loan.
Borini has been away at Sunderland and capped an eye-catching season to date with a fine goal in the Black Cats' Capital One Cup final defeat against Manchester City last weekend, his sixth goal of the campaign.
Suso, meanwhile, has done well back in Spain for Almeria, scoring twice and providing seven assists in La Liga, to further his claims for a regular first-team role back on Merseyside next season.
Rodgers believes the experience the duo have gained will be invaluable for the Reds and they should return in the summer better players.
"Fabio has got games and scored some very important goals," Rodgers told the Liverpool Echo. "He got the opportunity to play in a major final at Wembley. All that bodes well for the future.
"The likes of young Suso has had a terrific loan in Spain playing regular first team football. He will come back and come into the squad in the summer and then we will assess where he's at."
The pair are among 12 players out on loan this season and the likes of Andre Wisdom (Derby), Oussama Assaidi (Stoke) and Conor Coady (Sheffield United) have all done well and will hope to have long-term futures at Anfield.
"The loans have certainly been beneficial," Rodgers added. "There are different types of loans for different players. In particular for the young players it's very important for them to gain that experience.
"It's good for us to put them into clubs who operate with a similar philosophy. That helps their development and hopefully brings them back ready to play pressurised football at a high level.
"We've got Andre Wisdom doing really well at Derby at the top end of the Championship and young Conor getting league experience at Sheffield United. He needed to go away and prepare himself to play every single week."
