Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole looks set to be back in action tonight as the Reds play host to Udinese in the Europa League.

Cole, who returned to the club in the summer after a loan spell in France, has been out injured with a hamstring problem but may play tonight.

Jonjo Shelvey can also start, despite serving a domestic ban following his sending off against Manchester United, he is available to play in Europe but the match looks to have come too soon for Jose Enrique (knee) and Martin Kelly (knee) and Lucas Leiva (thigh) also remain sidelined.
