Crouch D-Day looms for Pompey

LiverpoolPortsmouth are tipped to make a final 'take-it-or-leave-it' offer of £10million for Liverpool striker Peter Crouch.

Pompey have been quoted £15million for the England international but think they can take a third off that figure given the fact he has just 12 months to go on his current deal.

The Fratton Park outfit still expect Kanu to sign his new deal and it seems a move for Crouch is not dependent on the Nigeria star's future.

Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie said: "Harry has made it clear he wants Peter Crouch. He's the sort of quality we want to add. We're not giving up."
