Duo set for month out

Liverpool will be without both Yossi Benayoun and Albert Riera for around a month after they picked up hamstring injuries on Monday.

Reds boss Rafa Benitez admitted he feared losing the pair after bringing them off during the draw with Birmingham after they both damaged their hamstrings.

It is now being reported that the duo will be out for a month, missing the remainder of the Champions League group games as well as crucial Premiership matches.

There is also a worry over Daniel Agger, who appears to have picked up a recurrence of the back injury which has plagued him all season.

He has been added to the list of injured players who are not joining up with their countries during the international break. Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson, Martin Kelly and Nabil El Zhar are all remaining at Liverpool for treatment.
