Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has claimed that his side will not underestimate Cardiff on Sunday in the Carling Cup final at Wembley.

The Reds are searching for their first trophy since 2006 as they make their first appearance at the new Wembley stadium.

The Spanish left-back, who signed from Newcastle in the summer for £5 million, has been a regular in Kenny Dalglish's side this season and is expected to receive a place in the starting line-up to face the Welsh club.

Liverpool warmed up for the final with a 6-1 thrashing of Brighton in the FA-Cup at the weekend. Although three of their tally were own-goals, strikers Andy Carroll and Luiz Suarez both found the scoresheet for the Reds.

Enrique expects a tough test on Sunday against Cardiff and believes his side have to be at their best once again.

"Everyone thinks because we're playing against a Championship team it will be an easy game but we know it's going to be hard," he told http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/cardiff-city/cardiff-city-fc/2012/02/21/liverpool-not-taking-cardiff-city-lightly-says-jose-enrique-91466-30370870/.

Liverpool will face Stoke in the quarter-final of the FA Cup following their victory over Brighton at Anfield.
