Steven Gerrard is backing Liverpool to defeat Manchester City on Sunday week and secure a top-four finish this season.
The Reds skipper was left frustrated after they came out of Wednesday's clash at Arsenal on the back of a 1-0 defeat courtesy of Abou Diaby's second-half header. However Gerrard felt the players did enough to warrant a share of the spoils against the Gunners and is backing them to get back to winning ways at Eastlands against a City side who are one of the Reds' main rivals for Champions League qualification.
"We have got to use a lot of positives from the match," he said.
"There are plenty of teams who go there [the Emirates Stadium] and get played off the park. I certainly feel disappointed leaving with nothing.
"It was just one mistake in our defence and they scored from it.
"The way we played over the 90 minutes, we certainly deserved a point.
"The lads are gutted after putting in all that effort and getting nothing. [But] there is nothing we can do about this result now.
"We have a very big game coming up against Manchester City but if we play like we did at Arsenal, then I fancy us to beat them. I feel if we are on our game and playing well, we are a match for anyone."
