Juventus are reported to be lining up an £8million swoop for Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel in the summer.

The Italian giants are looking to rebuild following a disappointing campaign so far and reports claim they want to land the Slovakian international when the window opens again.

Juve want to replace Fabio Cannavaro and see Skrtel as the ideal player to fill his boots if a deal can be agreed. Liverpool will be reluctant to sell but there could also be big changes at Anfield in the summer.

Juve are also keen on Reds boss Rafa Benitez to become their long-term manager and an approach could also be made for the Spaniard at the end of the season.
