Keane to get started

LiverpoolLiverpool's new signing Robbie Keane is delighted to have made the switch to Anfield and says it is a 'dream come true'.

The £20m plus deal to bring Keane to the club was completed on Monday night and the player is desperate to start his Anfield career, with the thought of running out at Anfield something he has always dreamed of.

"It's absolutely fantastic, a real dream come true for me," he told the Daily Post.

"I've been a Liverpool fan all my life, going back to when I was a kid growing up in Dublin, and I always had a Liverpool shirt on my back. So, to be here now as a Liverpool player is incredible and I couldn't be happier."

The former Leeds and Inter Milan man, who has been given the famous number seven shirt, added: "It's hard to describe how I'm feeling. The only way I could try to describe it is to compare it to when you're a little kid on Christmas Eve and you know you're about to get your presents.

"It's that excited feeling. You can't wait to open your presents the next day and you're buzzing inside.

"That's what it feels like for me now. I just can't wait to pull that red jersey on and run out at Anfield in front of the fans."
