Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has played his last game for the club this season, after being handed a ten match ban by the FA.
Despite appeals by the player for the ban to be no more than the statutory three matches, when being charged by the Football Association, Suarez has been hit hard following his bite on Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.
The Uruguayan will miss Liverpool's run in to the end of the season and will not now be seen again until the next campaign, presuming that he is still at the club.
There have been calls from some quarters for Liverpool to offload Suarez because of the recent disciplinary problems and German giants Bayern Munich have been linked with a move in the summer.
Liverpool MD Ian Ayre reacted to the length of ban, saying: "Both player and club are shocked and disappointed by the severity".
