Liverpool have been hit with a blow on the injury front as Charlie Adam is out for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.
Adam came off during the defeat to QPR last week and did not feature in the home defeat to Wigan at the weekend, a defeat which has left their Champions League hopes all but gone.
A scan on the 26-year-old's knee has revealed he has damaged the lateral ligament in his right knee and he is unlikely to pull on a red shirt again this season, according to the Daily Post.
It's the latest in a string of injuries suffered by Kenny Dalglish's men as he is already without Lucas Leiva for the season and Daniel Agger, Craig Bellamy, Glen Johnson and Martin Kelly are all nursing problems which are keeping them out of the side in the short term.
