Midfielder Xabi Alonso's summer move to Juventus broke down because their boss Claudio Ranieri thinks he is too slow.
There was talk of a £16m summer switch from Anfield to Juventus but it never came off and now the former Chelsea boss has explained why.
Ranieri said: "He left me perplexed by the slowness of his movement.
"He would have found it hard to support our midfield line seeing as our wingers don,'t give support like at Liverpool."
Juventus signed Denmark's Christian Poulsen from Sevilla instead.
