Reds ace to miss England clash

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has been ruled out of England's friendly with Chile at Wembley on Friday with a hip injury.

England coach Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Gerrard, along with Tottenham's Kyle Walker, will miss the match on Friday.

Reds striker Daniel Sturridge is also a doubt after missing training on Wednesday but he may yet be available for the clash.

With England hosting Germany at Wembley next week, Hodgson may decide to experiment with his starting XI as he continues his preparations for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
