Liverpool are edging closer to a deal for Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet who could be allowed to leave for £9million.
Brendan Rodgers has been linked with a number of top European goalkeepers with speculation surrounding the future of Jose Reina, following talk he could return to his homeland with Barcelona.
Punters using their free bet may be interested to know that Mignolet has revealed his desire to move away from the Stadium of Light after the side just managed to beat the drop last term.
The Belgium international admits that although he scooped the Player of the Year award in the 2012/13 season, the prospect of joining the Anfield side is one he can not refuse as he bids to put himself in with a chance of representing his country at the 2014 World Cup.
Rodgers has also been linked with Asmir Begovic but the Stoke goalkeeper is seen as a back-up plan if talks should break down with the 25-year-old Mignolet.
