Liverpool face a battle to keep hold of centre-half Martin Skrtel as his previous club Zenit St Petersburg want to buy him back.
The transfer window in Russia does not close until February 24 meaning they can still make a move for Skrtel, who spent three years in St Petersburg before joining the Reds in 2008.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is unlikely to sell one of his mainstay defenders when he is not in a position to replace despite the emergence of Andre Wisdom.
He has shown signs that he is going to become an excellent player in time but Rodgers will want the likes of Wisdom to learn their trade from Skrtel, so an offer in the region of £13m is unlikely to tempt him to sell the Slovakian.
