Reds handed Belgian task

Liverpool have been drawn against Belgian side Standard Liege in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

Standard were crowned Belgian champions last season, their ninth domestic league title but their first since 1983. Their most famous current squad member is American international defender Oguchi Onyewu.

The first leg will be played on August 12/13, with the second legs due to take place on August 26/27.
