Just 18 months since he left the club, Liverpool are plotting a raid on Blackpool to bring Thomas Ince back to Anfield.

The England Under-21 star was allowed to leave the club for just £250,000 18 months ago, as he felt he was not progressing at Anfield, but the Reds are aware of the mistake they made and they are now planning a £6m bid to try and get him back.

After a fantastic season at Blackpool there has been plenty of interest and both Southampton and arch rivals Manchester United are also said to be keen.

Liverpool would hate to see him move to Old Trafford and are keen to bring him back to the club where they will ironically get a 35% sell on fee from the transfer, as boss Brendan Rodgers was not the man to let him leave he feels no responsibility for the cost of bringing him back
