Reds reignite Jeffren interest

Sporting Lisbon star Jeffren is once again being linked with a move to Liverpool according to reports in Portugal.

The Reds have been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old twice in the past, both times when he was playing in Barcelona, but the move never came off and he has since moved to Sporting Lisbon.

Brendan Rodgers needs more firepower up front but a move for Jeffren would not necessarily help too much as he has only scored once in seven games for Sporting, which is probably why they are willing to allow him to leave.

It has been claimed before that Liverpool have already made an approach for the 24-year-old, initially eyeing a loan deal for the Venezuelan-born star, but whether a move is now pushed through remains to be seen.
