Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keeping tabs on Galatasaray's Burak Yilmaz as he looks to draft in a new striker.

Rodgers is pushing ahead with plans to bring in at least one new striker when the transfer window opens next month and Burak is thought to be on his list of possible targets.

The 27-year-old has impressed in his homeland this season with 11 goals, while he has also been scoring goals in the Champions League with six to his name.

Rodgers has order his scouts to check out Burak in today's big derby clash between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce and if he continues to shine the Reds boss may be tempted to get the cheque book out.
