Reds striker faces fitness test

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will put striker Daniel Sturridge through his paces to see if he is fit enough to face West Brom.

The Reds striker picked up a thigh injury in the draw with Manchester City last time out and had to pull out of England's win over Brazil in midweek.

The extra couple of days off have swung the balance in his favour but he is still a concern for the clash with the Baggies, while elsewhere Raheem Sterling is fit and likely to feature.

New signing Philippe Coutinho is likely to start on the bench but should get a run out at some point in the match as the Reds look for a victory which would keep their faint hopes of Champions League qualification alive.
