Reds turn to Ajax ace

Liverpool could turn their attentions to Ajax defender Daley Blind if a deal for Alberto Moreno fails to happen this summer.

The Reds are currently locked in negotiations with Sevilla regarding a transfer for the Spain international, although a deal is looking increasingly unlikely due to the long, drawn-out discussions.

If there are no advancements made in the Moreno situation, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will look at alternatives, and according to reports Blind is also on his wanted list.

The 24-year-old enjoyed an impressive season in the Eredivisie, making 29 appearances in the league and managing to contribute one goal to the team.

Blind, who is currently involved in the World Cup for Holland, provided a superb assist for Robin Van Persie's brilliantly headed goal against Spain on Friday and put in a solid display on the left flank.

Liverpool are now keeping a close eye on the versatile player, with a move potentially on the cards if they fail to sign Moreno in the next few days.
