Reina unsure of Anfield future

Last Updated: Sun, 09 Feb 2014 16:17

Napoli's on-loan goalkeeper Pepe Reina insists he will wait until the end of the season before deciding his next career move.

Recent reports have linked him with a return to Spain, but the 31-year-old will be back at Liverpool at the end of the season after a year on loan in Serie A under former boss Rafa Benitez.

Simon Mignolet is the current number one keeper at Anfield and Reina's future at the club appears to be coming to an end with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid linked with a move for his services.

Despite the speculation, Reina insists he doesn't know where he will be playing next season.

He told Marca: "I don't know where I'll be next year, but my plan is to enjoy this season and do a good job. Then I'll have to go to Liverpool and make a decision.

"They have to explain to me what their intentions are, but I'm not currently up to speed on all of the possible offers which might come in, because that's a job for my agent.

"My future is here, in Italy, and we'll see what happens in June."
