Martin Skrtel's agent Karol Csonto believes the defender will stay with Liverpool despite ongoing rumours about his future.
The Slovakia international did slip down the pecking order at Anfield as the season progressed last term, but Csonto still thinks he has a role to play for Brendan Rodgers' side following Jamie Carragher's retirement.
Skrtel has been linked with a switch to Italy to team-up with former Reds boss Rafael Benitez at Napoli, although the centre-back's representative doubts whether the Serie A outfit could afford him.
The player for his part also seems determined to force his way back into Rodgers' plans when the squad reports back to Melwood for pre-season training next month, while the club themselves are in no rush to sell him.
Csonto told Tuttomercatoweb: "Martin to move away from Liverpool? I specifically say that Skrtel has never said he wants to go away, then it depends on the Liverpool market because everything could change.
"It's true that the last two seasons were difficult but in football it can happen.
"Napoli? I think they haven't the financial possibilities to take him. Liverpool has not decided a price because they don't intend to sell the player. Anyway, I don't think that Napoli can afford his wage."
