Liverpool winger Albert Riera has moved to reassure Reds fans that Fernando Torres, Pepe Reina, and Rafa Benitez will not be leaving.

All three have been linked with moves away from Anfield of late as speculation continued about the club's future but Riera says they will be going nowhere.

Riera wants to make a similar impact on the club as Reina and Torres have and he claims no one will be walking away, he told the Post: "It isn't in the character of any of us to turn our backs and run somewhere else when times are tough," said Riera.

"All of us would like to look back on our Liverpool career and say it was a success.

"I think exactly like them. It is clear how happy Pepe and Fernando are at the club and I have no doubt they will both be here for a very long time no matter what happens. They have both said to me that they want to make history with Liverpool and I share that ambition. I understand I haven't enjoyed quite as big an impact on the club as them (Torres and Reina) so far but I intend to."
