Record signing Andy Carroll is set to leave Anfield this summer after reports claimed he has not settled in to the Liverpool way.

Carroll has found goals and subsequently starts hard to come by as the season has progressed and now, according to weekend reports, he will be sold in the summer.

His season reached a new low last week on his return to Tyneside when he was booked for diving and then substituted amid a chorus of boos from the home faithful.

He then fired off a torrent of abuse at boss Kenny Dalglish and despite the manager saying that episode has now been forgotten, reports suggest his time at Liverpool is coming to an end.

Meanwhile, other reports claim the Reds are in talks to sign Peruvian midfielder Juan Manuel Vargas, from Fiorentina.
