Suarez on Liverpool future

Last Updated: Thu, 05 Dec 2013 11:52

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez insists he will stay at the club beyond the January transfer window, but has not ruled out a summer move.

Suarez demonstrated his world class capabilities once again in the Premier League on Wednesday night, helping himself to four stunning goals in a 5-1 demolition of Norwich.

The Uruguayan international was heavily linked with a move away from Anfield during the summer transfer window, but the Reds fought hard to ensure they would retain his services.

The former Ajax man has now indicated that although he is happy to remain with the Merseyside outfit until the end of the campaign, he may then once again consider a move.

Suarez said: "I am happy off the field and feel at home, the Premier League is the best league in the world. Yes, I am happy here and will stay at Liverpool until the end of the season.

"Luckily, I am scoring these goals to make up for the games I missed, to take more confidence and help the team.

"The main thing is that Liverpool finish in the top four. I will help them get there."
