Tough Euro rivals for Reds

LiverpoolLiverpool will face PSV Eindhoven, Marseille and Atletico Madrid in the group stage of this season's Champions League.

The 2005 winners scraped into this season's group phase after getting past Standard Liege on Wednesday evening and have been pitted against some of the better clubs in the draw.

Dutch side PSV and French outfit Marseille are regular European opponents for the Reds so Rafa Benitez's side should be confident of getting past those two, while star striker Fernando Torres will go up against his former club when they go head-to-head against Spanish Primera Liga outfit Atletico Madrid.

The first fixture of the competition will take place in the week commencing Monday, September 15.
