Chairman Tom Werner has vowed to back Brendan Rodgers in the transfer market and reiterated the club's desire to keep Luis Suarez.
The Uruguayan has been linked with a massive money move to Manchester City at some point in the future but Liverpool have been quick to pour cold water on that suggestion, as have City themselves, and now Werner has added his voice to those claiming he will stay.
When asked if there was any chance of Suarez being he told the Telegraph: "Absolutely not.
"He's a beautiful player to watch and, as a Liverpool fan, I hope I'm watching him for many years to come. We made a long-term contract with him in the summer and we are going to see a lot of his play at Liverpool."
Meanwhile Werner has promised investment in the side in the new year, he said: "Our intention is to strengthen but actions will speak louder than words," he said.
"We are playing better and better each week. Obviously, we have made some mistakes in the past but our intention is to deliver, strengthen the squad and move forward.
"We know that January is a challenging time and I don't want to say we've got x or y but, hopefully, the fans will be pleased with what we do accomplish."
