Yossi talk played down

Yossi Benayoun's agent has rejected speculation claiming the Liverpool winger could be sold to Man City or West Ham this summer.

Anfield boss Rafa Benitez must wheel and deal in the transfer market this summer as he looks to add Gareth Barry's signature to £18m striker Robbie Keane's which was secured on Monday.

And Israel international Benayoun has been touted for a move away from the Reds as they look to generate more transfer funds.

However, his agent, Ronen Katzav has offered City and the Hammers no encouragement after telling Sky Sports: "All summer there has been speculation about Yossi, but he has a contract with Liverpool.

"I don't believe Liverpool want to sell Yossi and he is just concentrating on life at Liverpool.

"It is nice that everybody is interested in Yossi, but from our point of view he is only thinking about Liverpool."
