Liverpool look like they have missed out on Rafinha who has ended speculation about his future by signing a new deal with Flamengo.

The striker target had been the subject of interest from Reds boss Brendan Rodgers as he looks to add young talent to his squad, but he was not alone in looking at the 19-year-old as Paris Saint-Germain were also thought to be linked.

He has ended that speculation by signing a new deal for five years and a buy-out clause of a whopping £35m has effectively ruled out a move to Europe.
