West Brom boss Tony Mowbray is targeting a move for Hatters defender Leon Barnett and hopes to tempt Luton with a big money deal.
It is not the first time the Baggies have tried to land Barnett and they came knocking on the door back in January but the two clubs could not agree a fee.
West Brom now hope to tempt the 21-year-old to the Hawthorns in a deal which could rise to £3m.
Reading have already made it clear that they would like to sign the centre-half but Kevin Blackwell wants to keep him at the club, although if West Brom were to offer in the region of £3m the Hatters would find that difficult to turn down.
