Boss Kevin Blackwell is still keen on Newcastle winger Martin Brittain but has decided against pursuing any of Luton's other trialists.

Arsenal youngster Joe O'Cearuill, Aussie Mark Byrne and former Watford man Marvin McCoy have all struggled to impress, while Norwegian giant Oyvind Hoas, Xavier Barrau, Alexis Bertin and Joel Grant have all been shown the door.

However, there is still a chance Brittain could stay on at Luton and boss Blackwell plans to speak to him.

"I still have to speak to Martin, but I'm not taking any of the others on," Blackwell revealed. "We've sent them all back. We've had a look at them, but we won't be taking them on.

"I'm not going to be spending the club's money unless I'm absolutely sure on a player."
