Luton Town's preparations for the new season have been hit by a double injury blow to Marlon Beresford and Keith Keane.

Both players picked up knocks in the 1-1 draw with Dagenham and Redbridge on Wednesday night; Beresford has a groin injury whilst Keane suffered up a dead leg.

Assistant boss Sam Ellis told the club's website: "From the point of view concerning the injuries, it's a bit messy but those things can sometimes happen.

"It's good to have such competitive games in pre-season. The games we have got, we have got because we feel they will be competitive matches."
