Former Scotland international Don Hutchison is hoping to convince Luton boss Kevin Blackwell to hand him a contract at Kenilworth Road.

The midfielder is currently on trial with the Hatters after Coventry decided not to offer him fresh terms at the end of last season.

And Hutchison is eyeing a full-time link-up with Luton in order to help the club try and bounce back into the Championship at the first time of asking.

He told Luton Today: "I've just been training with the lads and I'm trying to impress the gaffer.

"I had a difficult season last year with injury so didn't really have an opportunity to show what I could do, but I'm over that know and it's up to me to prove that to Kevin Blackwell.

"I suffered a double fracture of my ankle, which kept me out for about four or five months and I wasn't offered another deal at Coventry. But I'm fully recovered now and just looking to get myself a place at a new club."
