Roberto Mancini has warned his Manchester City side they must start quickly against Bolton on Tuesday.

City slipped to a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Hull on Saturday to dent their top-four-finish chances and Mancini has blasted his players for a poor start at the KC Stadium - something he does not want a repeat of against the Trotters.

"We must play for ninety minutes and not begin slowly as we did at Hull," the Italian coach said on the club's website.

"Bolton will come and try to pressure us in the same way, they are fighting hard too like Hull.

"I thought in the second half at the KC Stadium we played well and we had three or four chances to make it 2-2 but we didn't.

"We must be more clinical and focused from the start."
