Manchester City are set to complete the signing of Porto centre-back Eliaquim Mangala after he passed a medical on Saturday.
City have been chasing the player for some time but it looks as though a deal is finally on the verge of going through after he was spotted at Manchester's Bridgewater hospital.
That is were City take potential new signings to undergo a medical and the France international is now very close to joining City for a fee in the region of £32million.
Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the 23-year-old, but City have nipped in and Mangala will join his former Porto team-mate Fernandinho at the Etihad Stadium.
City had also been heavily linked with Mehdi Benatia but that deal is now off and Chelsea are likely to step up their interest in the Roma defender.
