Manchester City are closing in on the signing of Stevan Jovetic after agreeing a fee of £27million with Fiorentina.
City have been linked with the Montenegro star all summer but it seems as though Manuel Pellegrini is close to landing the 23-year-old, who is seen as the perfect replacement for Carlos Tevez.
Liverpool had also been heavily linked with a move for the player but the fact they cannot offer Champions League football went against them and City are now set to swoop.
The Blues now just need to sort personal terms with the player and reports claim he will pen a five-year-deal worth as much as £120,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium.
"It's pretty much sorted he'll go to City," a source close to the player has been quoted as saying in the Sun. "They just have to sort his contract. It shouldn't be a big problem."
