Hamburg and Manchester City are monitoring highly-rated UAE playmaker Omar Abdulrahman after his outstanding Gulf Cup performances.
Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen admits the German club are keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old star who is the hottest property in Middle Eastern football right now.
The Al-Ain midfielder played a starring role in the UAE's recent Gulf Cup triumph in Bahrain and scored a superb goal in the final against Iraq.
Abdulrahman was later named Player of the Tournament and, following some impressive displays against Uruguay and Great Britain for UAE's Under-23 side at last summer's London Olympics, he is on the radar of some big clubs.
He turned down a summer move to City after impressing during a two-week trial at Carrington, but it appears only a matter of time before Abdulrahman moves to Europe.
Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon are also keeping tabs on the frizzy-haired star, while Hamburg and City were the first to identify his potential for a big move.
