Manchester City are tipped to rival Sevilla and Valencia for £3.5m-rated Spain Under-21 right-back Sergio Sanchez.

The 23-year-old has a buy-out clause of £5m in his current Espanyol deal although Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo claims he could be allowed to move on for less money.

Sanchez has reportedly set his heart on moving to Sevilla because they can offer Champions League football but City's ability to offer better wages could help their cause.

Sanchez recently played for Spain at the European Under-21 Championship in Sweden.
