Former Manchester City player Rodney Marsh has urged the club to get rid of Mario Balotelli calling him a "ticking time bomb".
The Italian striker has always been surrounded by controversy due to his antics both on and off the field, but Marsh believes it's now time for the manager to get rid of Balotelli.
The 22-year-old has not scored a Premier League goal since last March, and Marsh believes that if he is not getting goals then he is no longer worth the risk.
The 67-year-old believes there is enough firepower from the likes of Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Yaya Toure to compensate for leaving.
Although he believes that bringing in Radamel Falcao would take the side to another level, with the Colombian fast becoming one of the the hottest prospects in world football.
"I have seen [Balotelli] play for club and country two dozen times and one thing is certain, he is one of the most talented young footballers I've ever seen," he said.
"Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all look very strong again this term and it's going down to the wire again. The big question is will Mad Mario be a net plus or a net minus for City."
