Man City have a tough start to the defence of their Premier League crown which begins with a trip to Newcastle on the opening weekend.

Manuel Pellegrini's men convincingly defeated the Magpies on home soil on the opening weekend of last season, but must travel to St James' Park this time around.

In a tricky run of opening fixtures, last-season's runners-up Liverpool and Stoke then visit the Etihad Stadium before they face Arsenal away and then Chelsea at home.

City welcome local rivals Manchester United on November 1, with the return visit on April 11.

Boxing Day sees City go to West Brom and they host Sunderland on New Year's Day.

Southampton are the visitors when City close their campaign on May 24.
