Man City are stepping up their pursuit of Groningen and Holland U19 striker Richairo Zivkovic after Spain's big two joined the chase.
City have been following the progress of the 17-year-old forward closely all season as he has lit up the Dutch Eredivisie, scoring five goals in only two starts and a number of cameo appearances from the substitutes' bench.
But Barcelona and Real Madrid have now also taken a strong interest and sent scouts to watch the youngster being dubbed the 'new Arjen Robben' in action last weekend.
City are understood to have had Zivkovic watched on Wednesday, possibly by former player Giorgi Kinkladze, as the Dutch Under-19s won 3-0 against Moldova in Tbilisi.
Zivkovic's agent Daan Kramp admits the player would consider a move from Groningen amid speculation that Spartak Moscow and City are trailing him closely.
Kramp told Izvestia: "His career is developing rapidly. He's proved to be great in the Eredivisie this season, scoring some very important goals.
"It is not surprising that several Dutch, English and Russian clubs are interested in Zivkovic. He's a tremendous talent who has been with Groningen since he was 13.
"This club has turned into his family, but in the case of worthy proposals the player is ready for a change."
