Manchester City are tracking 16-year-old Anderlecht midfielder Yoeri Tielemans and scouted him on his debut for Belgium's Under-21s.
City were one of four Premier League clubs represented at the match on Monday night in which Tielemans came on as a second half substitute against Northern Ireland.
Belgium won the match 1-0 to maintain their leadership of the European Championship qualifying group and their latest recruit showed enough promise to suggest he has a big future ahead of him.
Tielemans has already made a handful of senior appearances for Anderlecht and is rated as one of their biggest talents in years, but City are already lying in wait for the time when he outgrows the Belgian top flight.
City have several Belgians on their books already from club skipper Vincent Kompany down to current Belgian Under-19 star Mattias Bossaerts, both players having come through the same Anderlecht academy.
Manchester United, Everton and West Ham were the three other Premier League clubs officially present at the match.
