Jack Rodwell and Martin Demichelis are both set to miss Manchester City's Premier League visit of Everton on Saturday lunchtime.
Midfielder Rodwell and defender Demichelis are sidelined with respective muscle strain and knee problems, but boss Manuel Pellegrini is set to have an otherwise fully-fit squad to pick from at the Etihad Stadium.
David Silva is fit following his month-long absence with a thigh strain and came through a late substitute appearance against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night with flying colours.
Therefore the Spain international could be pitched in from the start against the Toffees as Pellegrini might make changes following the 3-1 Champions League defeat against the German giants which followed on from a 3-2 league loss at Aston Villa last Saturday.
James Milner, Pablo Zabaleta, Aleksandar Kolarov and Joleon Lescott will all hope to be named in the starting line-up, while Joe Hart is set to keep his place in goal despite two errors against Bayern in midweek.
Milner is looking for City to put on a good performance to bounce back from the two defeats and collect a much-needed win.
He said: "It's really important to get three points on the board, especially going into the international break.
"It was a really disappointing performance and result against Bayern Munich the other night but we have to bounce back - it's good to have this game coming straight off the back of it two days later as it gives us a chance to show our reaction."
He added: "Everton's not going to be easy, they're the only team not to lose a game in the Premier League so far but we're at home and we're confident that we can give a good account of ourselves."
