Italian side Napoli are interested in Manchester City's Edin Dzeko, which could boost City's chances of landing Edinson Cavani.
Dzeko is expected to depart the Etihad Stadium in the summer and the Bosnian striker had been heavily linked with Borussia Dortmund.
The German side's interest has cooled due to City's £24million valuation and, according to Italian paper Corriere dello Sport, Napoli have already made contact with City with a view to a summer transfer.
City are believed to have set their sights on current Napoli star Edinson Cavani and the striker is considered their top summer transfer target.
If the Premier League side do sell Dzeko to Napoli it could boost their chances of securing Cavani in the summer, despite reports that French side Paris Saint-Germain are leading the race for his signature.
