Manchester City defender Micah Richards could be on his way out of the Etihad Stadium with Inter Milan reportedly keen on him.
Richards' Italian agent Dario Canovi claims Inter have been in touch to ask about the full-back's availability although talks are at a very early stage.
Canovi wouldn't be surprised if the 2010 Champions League winners ramp up their interest before the close of the summer transfer window.
Whether City would be prepared to sell the England international is open for debate, particularly if reports are correct about new manager Manuel Pellegrini looking to offload fellow right-back Maicon.
The Brazilian, who ironically joined City from Inter for £3m last summer, has struggled to justify his £100,000-a-week wages and is likely to go through the exit door before the usually reliable Richards.
However, the 25-year-old was troubled by injury problems last season and a change in management always creates uncertainty, which could work in the Serie A's side favour.
Canovi told FCInterNews.it: "I know that there is interest from Inter for the player.
"Contacts between the two clubs are between them. Inter have contacts with Alexander Livac, the British agent with whom I work.
"He had telephone contact with those at Inter, but there is still nothing really concrete."
