Stevan Jovetic insists he made the right decision to move from Fiorentina to Manchester City and is determined to prove his worth.
The 23-year-old ended his five-year spell with the Viola last summer with a switch to the Etihad Stadium, but has made only one Premier League appearance to date.
He has been hampered by injury but played for Montenegro in their 4-1 World Cup qualifying defeat to England last Friday.
But, after the international break concludes, the former Partizan Belgrade ace is looking forward to getting into tip-top shape to show just what he can do in the top flight of English football.
"I arrived at City behind in my physical condition and so I have always been behind the shape of others," he told Tuttosport. "Then I went to the national team and I got injured again, thus losing more time.
"Against England, I proved to be in good shape and now I just need to play regularly to find the best condition, I'm not worried."
Punters looking to use a free bet might fancy the talented hit-man to fire City to a top-four place this season and they are next in action against West Ham on Saturday, October 19.
Juventus were also interested in acquiring his services, but Jovetic is adamant that a move to the north west of England was the right choice to take.
"I was aware of the deal (from Juventus), I read about it on the newspapers and I know that they were speaking with my agent," he added.
"In the end, however, I chose to go abroad and now I'm happy. I don't regret the choice I made."
